Hi. I am very interested in acquiring this excellent resource. I have two questions though. I have seen a version online (with blue lines) that shows the presidential limousine in multiple locations based on when JFK was hit. This version doesn’t appear to feature that. Could you just confirm this? Also, I have seen reference that you at one time had a similar schematic map of Oak Cliff and the Tippit shooting scene available, but I don’t see anything about that here. Is it still available and if so is there a package I could order with both schematics and the master list. Thank you sir!
Bob–thank you very much for your inquiry. To answer your question fully, I must beg for your indulgence and allow me what will, no doubt, be a long-winded reply. I first made the Dealey Plaza and the Oak Cliff schematics available in 1991. At that time, the Dealey Plaza schematic (DPS) did have the Presidential limousine positioned on Elm Street in the three locations to represent the three-shot scenario proffered by the Warren Commission (via the FBI). The following year, I added some revisions along with a 32-page “master list” for the DPS. It wasn’t until 1996 that I revisited my work, specifically on DPS, and, as I explain in my current master list, discovered to my horror and embarrassment that much of the information contained in both the DPS and its master list was both vaguely and specifically incorrect (again, a more lengthy and detailed explanation can be found in the “editor’s note” section of my master list). After stopping production and distribution, I spent the next 15 years completely revising both the map and the list, basically starting from scratch…and doing what I should have done 15 years earlier–double-checked every single source and creating a complete file on each and every witness. Having finished the revision I made both the map and list available again to researchers in 2011: the list went from 32 pages to 155 pages, cataloging twice as many witnesses as before; the schematic went to black-line (thanks to technology) and changed its look, eliminating the three-position limousine and alleged bullet trajectories, but adding a detailed insert of the people standing on the steps of the Texas School Book Depository. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time or the money to give the same considerations to the Oak Cliff schematic; I wasn’t really even aware that it was of any value to the research community until just recently. So, no, the 1991 Oak Cliff schematic is no longer available, but should you order the DPS and master list, I will be more than happy to send you a Xeroxed copy of the last Oak Cliff schematic I have at no additional cost. Now, I have thought about revamping the Oak Cliff schematic, to reflect the last 25 years of research into the Tippit killing, and I am also creating a schematic of the Ambassador Hotel, detailing the witnesses to Robert Kennedy’s assassination in June of 1968. So, with any luck, I will at some point be able to offer a three-schematic package of Dealey Plaza, Oak Cliff, and the Ambassador Hotel. I will, of course, announce if and when I am able to do so. Thank you very much for that response. I do not really consider it long-winded but rather very detailed and informative. My thought is the more information the better, as with the assassination itself (provided the information is credible, of course).
I just placed my order for the master list and schematic and will eagerly, but patiently, await its arrival. I did add a note requesting a photocopy of the Oak Cliff schematic if you’d be so kind.
I ordered one online but it doesn’t have JFK’s car on it. Everything else is there. I can’t remember where I got it though.

Dear Craig,
So many witness are put in the wrong positions, like in the Zapruder film you can clearly see Ike altgens ,so who was the other person with a camera to his left and to the rear.
Also there’s 3 men on the steps near the knoll, yet you have only 2, if you look at the orville nix film it clearly shows 3 men standing on the steps.
That’s naming a couple of them, i am sure theres more missing or misplaced persons in the wrong place etc.

Since its inception, my master list and schematic of Dealey Plaza have been considered a continuous work in progress, much of that progress being supplied my fellow colleagues. I have repeatedly encouraged researchers to send me comments, suggestions, or additions to ensure accuracy and reflect up-to-date information. So while I appreciate your having taken the time to write, I’m afraid your comments are considerably vague and unhelpful.
You contend that “so many witness[es] are put in the wrong positions,” but then only cite two examples. But even your examples have nothing to do with the inaccuracy of their positions. You simply state that I haven’t identified witnesses in two locations.
The problem is, your comments strongly suggest that you didn’t thoroughly read the Master List of Witnesses. If you had, you would have known that there were, according to the HSCA, 692 witnesses in Dealey Plaza at the time of the assassination. I have documented 377 on my map of Dealey Plaza. That leaves 315 witnesses that aren’t on the map because they haven’t been identified, including the two examples you cite. For obvious reasons, I was not going to pock mark the entire map with over 300 unnumbered black dots to simply show how many people were there.
However, to speak specifically to your example of the two men next to Emmett Hudson on the steps leading up to the North Pergola, my book clearly states in Hudson’s entry, the entry for Maurice Orr, and the epilogue that I acknowledge the three men on the steps; one positively Hudson, another tentatively identified as Orr, and a third man. Again, I encouraged my fellow researchers–which apparently includes you–to help provide positive identification of the two men next to Hudson.
If you’re “sure” that there are more known witnesses missing or people who have been misplaced, please be specific and provide credible sources.

Thank you for your reply, i get that you have not put all the witness names on your list, that would be so much extra work right.
But in saying that, you plot of the witness is the most comprehensive list i have seen to date and thank you for all the work you have done.
Just wondering have you seen the original plot map of dealey plaza which was done the next week end i believe by government suvayers, which i cant find online at all, showing the slope of elm st and everything to scale, meaning the heights & length of everything in elm st etc etc.
